We are now resuming our Sunday indoor Worship Services at 10:00 am - which is our Summer Schedule.
As the State of Illinois enters Phase 5: Illinois Restored on June 11, the Board has reviewed the protocol requirements at CCOS, and we proposed and approved the following changes:
Effective June 20, we will begin Summer hours for Worship Service and Sunday School beginning at 10:00 am versus the previous 10:30 am time, and the weekly worship service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person.
Effective June 20, we will implement the following face-covering policy changes:
For anyone fully vaccinated against COVID (e.g., two weeks after the final inoculation shot), face coverings will be optional but encouraged if that is your preference, while participating in the worship service, in Sunday School, or in public spaces of the Church.
For anyone not fully vaccinated against COVID (e.g., have not received the final inoculation shot, or it has not been two weeks after the final inoculation shot, or is under 12 years of age and not age-appropriate to receive the shot), face coverings will be requested while participating in Sunday School, the Worship Service, or in public spaces of the Church.
Effective June 20, we will eliminate the requirement for pre-registration for the weekly worship service and Sunday school. Members of the Welcoming committee will continue to check the attendees in as they enter the building for contact tracing purposes.
Effective June 20, we will eliminate any restriction on Church capacity for Sunday School and the weekly Worship Service. The elimination of any capacity restriction is consistent with the State of Illinois entering Phase 5: Illinois Restored.
We will continue the practice of proper social distancing while in Church and adhere to good health practices such as hand washing and cleaning of the pews. Special cleaning of the hymnals will be discontinued as it has not been shown that the virus is carried via paper surface.
