We have declared that Christ is Risen, He is Risen indeed. In this season of Easter, it is important to give substance to that declaration. Where have you seen God at work? It could be a coincidence (that wasn’t really a coincidence), an unexpected visit, answered prayer, a resource or provision, taking in the glory of creation, hearing God in the quiet, and the like. But you have “seen” God at work, even as we recall the words to the gospel chorus “It must have been the hand of the Lord.”
Let us encourage one another in the weeks ahead by sharing “God sightings” during morning worship. You won’t have to come up front but can stay in your place in the sanctuary. Please relate how and where you have seen God at work. After all, Christ is Risen! He is alive. He is at work.
Please contact me during the week, or before the service on Sunday, to let me know you are ready to share your God sighting. I don’t need to “approve” it, but just need to know you are ready to share. As we share our God sightings, we give testimony that Christ really IS risen!
And we can recall the old Bluegrass Gospel Chorus
Glory, glory, glory, Somebody touched me,
Glory, glory, glory, Somebody touched me,
Glory, glory, glory, Somebody touched me,
It must have been the hand of my Lord!
I look forward to hearing your God sightings. For He is indeed Risen! And maybe we will even get to sing this good ole’ chorus! Our Lord is alive and at work.
