Dear Father in heaven, we come before you on this November-chilled morning to spark our purpose and fire our faith. We falter on the edges of belief, easily slipping into the faults of sin. Today we find purchase in the communion of saints. We are blessed by their undaunted courage, their unquestioning obedience and their sacrifice of self. Oh, how we long for their clarity and vision to power our lives. Astonishing Lord: You always provide hope for each step we take in faith. You guarantee glory to the people of God. To you we lift up our heads, flex our muscles and answer yes with the conviction that only faith can provide. There is much work to do, Lord: we your people are able. Amen
