God our Father, Lord Divine,
Your autumn leaves of scarlet, yellow, purple and brown are joyfully dancing through the skies. They drop noiselessly, framing my windowpane and filling my yard. How you delight me in autumn. Truly your grace is astounding-blessing upon blessing! I leap like a child, scoop up your goodness and toss it into the sunlight. My muscles ache from the loving labor of raking each blessing in. I pile them in sacks and stomp them down, and still you give me more. Thank you for this moment to pause and overflow with praise. I worship you in stilled, wondrous reverence. I turn to you in obedience, remembering how you have given me Jesus, who paved for me this leafy pathway to heaven.
