Here at the water’s edge, we seek you, O Lord. Like springtime buds on branches, we thirst for raindrops of refreshment and sunbeams of insight. We return to you, conscious of our shortcomings and you freely forgive us. You provide for us in unexpected ways and smile as our efforts blossom and bear fruit. Invigorated by your word, we emerge from our interior lives to serve your kingdom. Our hearts joyfully recognize the fullness of each moment and the fragile gift of life. Lead us out of complacency as we pursue peace powered by Jesus and the transforming grace of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
