Holy Lord, we gather today, conscious of the tasks you have placed before us. We need your wisdom to stand up to the challenges of a broken world. Give us endurance to stand firm, to focus on and listen for the guidance of the Spirit. Ground us in hope, mindful of the power of your promises. Humbly we work with compassion to bring forth justice, generosity and a devoted relationship with Jesus. Gladness and joy rise from your deep well, and with strong hearts we build bridges of empathy.
