A Season of Change and New Beginnings at Schaumburg Covenant
Welcome to October — a new month and a new season filled with change, gratitude, and anticipation here at Covenant Church of Schaumburg. As autumn settles in and we step into the final quarter of the year, our church family is entering an exciting time of transition and growth.
We give thanks once more for the ministry and leadership of Pastor Tom and Cheryl Ek, whose faithful service has blessed our congregation over the past two years. Now we look ahead with joy as we prepare to welcome Pastor Brad Thompson as our interim pastor. Pastor Brad will officially begin his ministry with us on Monday, October 13, and lead his first Sunday service on October 19.
In the meantime, we’re grateful to welcome Rev. David Green as our guest preacher this Sunday as we continue to gather for worship and grow together in faith.
We’re also launching a brand-new Adult Sunday Class exploring The History of the Church in Art by Rosa Giorgi — a fascinating look at how Christian art and iconography have reflected faith through the centuries. The class meets every other Sunday at 11:15 a.m., and all are welcome to join the conversation and deepen their understanding of our shared story.
Let’s embrace this new chapter with open hearts and eager spirits — ready to see what God will do next here at Schaumburg Covenant.
