Covenant Ministries of Benevolence
An outreach of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Covenant Ministries of Benevolence extends the helping hand of Jesus Christ in its mission to nurture the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of the sick, poor, aging, under-served or at risk.
They administer a large family of ministries, ranging from full-service hospitals to shelters for victims of domestic violence. They also extend the reach of other ministries of the church by contributing financial and intellectual capital.
Some of the programs they manage:
- Covenant Retirement Communities – one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit senior housing providers
- Covenant Enabling Residences – a nationwide network of homes for developmentally disabled adults
- Swedish Covenant Hospital – one of the few independent, nonprofit, teaching hospitals in Chicago
- CovenantCare at Home – a nationwide, Medicare-certified home health and private-duty home care agency
