About Us

Pastor DanIf you are looking to worship in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, then we may be just what you are looking for.

Whether you are a spiritual seeker, not quite sure what you believe but interested in checking out Jesus Christ; or a seasoned believer, having lived with Christ and his church for many, many years, you are welcome here!

A community of Christians believing in the reality of God and of His love as directed toward us in Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to be a fellowship of believers, glorifying God, showing love towards others in our witness, resulting in fellowship marked by oneness in Christ.

As believers, we are more than just “church goers” as we are actively involved in our fellowships and in the life of our church as a whole. Our atmosphere is that of a family and truly exhibits the body of Christ in action.

Our Heritage
The Covenant Church of Schaumburg is one of more than 700 Covenant Churches nationwide. The Covenant Church traces it’s roots to the Lutheran Church of Sweden more than 125 years ago. Since that time, Covenant Churches have formed worldwide, welcoming people from many different backgrounds.

We are evangelical, but not exclusive. We are biblical, but not doctrinaire. We are congregational, but not independent. We are traditional, but not rigid.

Our Belief
We celebrate a few essential convictions; among them, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the Bible as a roadmap for our daily lives.

We observe the sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism. We believe that God intends life to have a healthy balance of worship, study, and service.

Our Mission
We are centered in Christ. Without a formal creed, we affirm the centrality of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, the necessity of a personal decision concerning Jesus Christ, and the priority of the Church to Make God Known through the words, teachings, life example, and living presence of Jesus Christ. We are a fellowship of Believers, who are One in Faith and Hope, even as we are allowed the freedom to differ in conviction and conscience. Ours is a Fellowship marked by Oneness in Christ.

Our Purpose
Believing in the reality of God and His Love as directed toward us in Jesus Christ, our purpose is to be a fellowship of believers, glorifying God, showing love towards others in our witness, resulting in fellowship marked by oneness in Christ.
